Christine was our Star Scientist this week. Tuesday she read some of her favorite Shel Silverstein poems with us for her read aloud.
Christine's mother and grandmother came in on Wednesday and shared designs and parts from a cutting machine Christine's grandfather designed and pattened. The machine cuts out the "weld beam" from inside metal pipes to make them smooth inside. Check out the pictures below.
Thursday we were fortunate enough to experiment with "Salt-dough", led by Christine and her father. Each of the kids were able to have their own little piece of salt-dough and they created STEM related scupltures. Check out the pictures below and the recipe below. NOTE: The key ingredient (vegetable oil) will make the salt-dough last longer.
