Connor was our Star Scientist this week. He read us the story of how Mickey Mouse and his lovable dog Pluto became friends. Connor's experiment taught us about the capillary effect. The capillary effect is the ability of water to travel through narrow spaces without assistance. The water is even able to travel upward against gravity. Click here to see a different version of his experiment with directions so you can try at home. Connor used food coloring in his water and a created a "tye-dye" paper towel. Connor also shared factual information about the Epcot Center at Disney for engineering item. He even has a picture of his dad holding the humongous golf ball in his hand!
